Born in Washington D.C. and raised in Northern Virginia, David Hunter Jr. has had a love for acting and movies since childhood. He attended Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts Performance. While attending Hampton University, David was no stranger to the stage; performing lead roles in the Shakespearean play, "The Taming of the Shrew", "Lysistrata" and starring as "Booth/3-Card" in the Pulitzer Prize winning play, "Topdog/Underdog", written by Suzan-Lori Parks.

 Upon graduating from Hampton, David stayed active in the DC area as an Actor and Voice Over Artist.  As a Member of a local DC Improv Troupe, David performed at DC Fringe Festival and other festivals around the area.  In 2008, David received the distinguished award for Best Voice Over Artist, from the Northern VA Theatre Association, for his role as "Dennis" in the one-act stage play, "The Art of Self-Defense".   That was just the beginning of many awards and honors.  The following year, The Velocity Magazine Awards, awarded David Best Supporting Actor for his role as the Defense Attorney in the hit stage play, "A Change is Gonna Come", performed at the historic Lincoln Theatre in Washington D.C.

 Since re-locating to Los Angeles, David has been seen and heard on several stage, animation, web, film and television projects, including adds for the Samsung Galaxy S Phone, Samsung Galaxay Tab and the iPhone Mega reader App .  David was also privileged to open up for the World Premiere of Universal Picture's Oblivion and share the stage with Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman. David co-starred in a Television pilot called "Very Smart Brothas" and the pilot was an Official Selection at the prestigious New York Television Festival Independent Pilot Competition.

 David is also a renowned and highly requested Spoken Word Artist and can be found performing at various venues in Los Angeles, excerpts from his first book of poetry, “Pen in My Hand”, published in June 2013.

 As a dedicated, hardworking, professional actor and a man of many talents, David's versatility and determination is bound to lead to the longevity of his career in the entertainment industry.
