Born in Washington DC and raised in the Metro Area, David Hunter Jr. is an actor, writer and producer as well as a proud graduate of Hampton University. This theatre trained actor has voiced campaigns for Google, Blavity & HBO along with a variety of video games and commercials. His on camera presence has seen him acting in films premiering at Essence Film Festival, NY TV Festival and more.

As a writer, David’s projects have been licensed to Aspire TV, Black & Sexy TV, AfroLand TV and has allowed him to gain recognition as not just an actor but a creator as well.

When not on camera or in the voice over booth, David is busy producing projects for his own production company (Made For More Entertainment). The company produces projects that are dedicated to impacting, inspiring, educating and entertaining their audiences. While producing multiple projects, David’s company has forged deals and relationships with Aspire TV, NatGeo and Trailblazer Studios.

The most successful project to date is podcast/talk series called Post In Black which David hosts. This series focuses on highlighting African Americans who work in Post Production. They have since partnered with Trailblazer Studios and in the Spring of 2024, the company secured sponsors from DOLBY and AVID to help take the series to the next level. In 2025, both Dolby and Avid recommitted their pledges for the upcoming 6th season. Past guests have included the Emmy Winning Editing team from A Blacklady Sketch Show (Stephanie Filo & Taylor Joy), the composer of Transformers, (Jognic Bontemps) and the editor of The Woman King, Twisters and Love & Basketball, (Terilyn Shropshire).

As an independent producer, David has teamed up with Amy Aniobi (Insecure, Survival of The Thickest) to help produce multiple short films for her company, Super Special and the TRIBE cohort of writers. In addition to this, David has also worked hand-in-hand with Creative Executive D’Angelo Louis (Proximity Media) as they worked closely on D’Lo’s first film Shoebox and are now teaming up for his first feature film Announcements.
